Here is a nice list of Administrator tools that have been found to work great in SharePoint deployments, upgrades and administration.
Idera SharePoint performance monitor is a free tool that enables easy monitoring of critical performance counters for SharePoint, IIS and Windows Operating Systems.

Great little tool, SharePoint Log Viewer. The most advanced and easy to use viewer of MOSS/SharePoint/WSS/Foundation ULS logs located on Codeplex.
The SharePoint Feature Administration and Clean Up Tool which you can download from the Codeplex site, find Feature Definitions across Site Collections and Sub sites. Locate any faulty features and provide you with the ability to remove them altogether. Great tool for preparing for upgrades or environment replication.
Clicking on the Find Faulty Feature in Farm should hopefully return the following “No Faulty Feature was found” message.
SharePoint Manager 2007 can also be downloaded from the Codeplex Site and it helps you understand the SharePoint farm topology.
SharePoint Manager 2010 can be downloaded from the Codeplex. The SharePoint Manager 2010 is a SharePoint object model explorer. It enables you to browse every site on the local farm and view every property. It also enables you to change the properties.
Bamboo SharePoint Analyzer from Bamboo Solutions. Similar to that of SharePoint Manager 2007, this utility also does a great job is listing everything you need to know about your SharePoint environment and your entire farm topology. This is a free download and should be installed as part of any SharePoint Farm deployment.
These tools will also greatly assist in replicating your environments for your SharePoint 2007/2010 deployments.
